If you have a REV C DashBoss unit (see the silver sticker on the back … it will say REV C), there’s a trick you need to know when plugging and unplugging the gateway.

Because of the way the authentication and bluetooth communications are “rolled into” a single chip now, you need to do do the following after unplugging your gateway and plugging it back into the vehicle. If you get a “DashBoss cannot connect” message, do the following:

  1. UNPLUG THE GATEWAY FROM THE VEHILCE
  2. Be sure the VEHICLE IGNITION IS ON
  3. Plug the gateway back in
  4. Go to SETTINGS->BLUETOOTH and tap on “I” and next to DASHBOSS and then do a FORGET THIS DEVICE
  5. Turn Bluetooth OFF for 3-5 seconds (use the SLIDER at the top of the list of devices in bluetooth)
  6. Turn Bluetooth back ON
  7. Now wait for it to find the DashBoss and then tap on it to connect
  8. ONCE IT CONNECTS YOU SHOULD SEE TWO SOLID BLUE LIGHTS … once you do, then start the App on the iOS Device
  9. Be sure to wait for the “Loading Parameters, this might take a few minutes” has finished before starting the displays
