Acceleration Test - Eighth Mile Run
Run your own drag strip! Make a pass and get detailed results to dail in your ride!
Eighth mile racing is becoming more and more popular as land for a full dragstrip with the proper shut down area is often hard to find. You can make a run and sort out many important factors in your vehicle's acceleration such as:
-
Traction
Are those new tires sticky enough? Is the suspension "planting" the tires? Is there the proper amount of air in the tires for traction? How do those new stiffer bushings affect the launch? -
Launch technique
What RPM is optimum to leave at? When is the right time to "flash" the converter? Does the car react better to preloading the suspension (i.e. "power braking") or does it leave better when letting the drivetrain take up the slack? Does it "hit" the tires too soft? -
Shift Points
What results in the best E.T.s? What RPM shifts affect my 330ft time the most? 1/8 mile? Trap speed? -
Horsepower
Trap speed is directly porportional to horsepower

Acceleration Test - Quarter Mile Run
Again, you can make realistic performance predictions for the drag strip, only this allows you to do the complete Quarter Mile ...
Quarter mile runs can give you more insight on overall horsepower and power at "speed". You can make a run and sort out many important factors (just like an 1/8 mile run) in your vehicle's acceleration such as:
-
Traction

Trap speed is directly porportional to horsepower. The Quarter mile run emphasizes the higher RPM/higher speed aspects of the performance. Use your 1/8 mile trap speed, 1000ft time and trap speed to gauge top gear power.

Braking Test 60-0 MPH
It's just as important to be able to STOP that performance machine as it is to make it GO! ...
The 60 MPH to 0 MPH braking test lets you test the effectiveness of your brakes and tires. You can even sort out alignment settings for maximum braking performance!
Like the accelertation tests, the braking tests allow you to perform braking measurements without taking your eyes off the road! Simply:
- Find a smooth SAFE stretch of pavement and steady the vehicle speed at 60 MPH.
- Once you see the traffic light graphic that indicates you have held a steady speed for the required time, mash the brake pedal and modulate to avoid locking the brakes.
- When the vehicle comes to a complete stop, the test is saved for review at a safe place/time.
Use the data gathered to measure performance differences between tire rubber compounds, brake pad effectiveness, rotor performances, and even the effect that temperature may have on braking effectiveness (i.e. brake "fade"). Compare your results to what the magazines are reporting for your car (in perfect test track conditions).

Braking Test 100-0 kph
If metric units are your preference, we have your back too! ...
As with the 60 MPH to 0 MPH test, the 100 KPH to 0 KPH braking test lets you test the effectiveness of your brakes and tires. You can even sort out alignment settings for maximum braking performance!
Like the accelertation tests, the braking tests allow you to perform braking measurements without taking your eyes off the road! Simply:
- Find a smooth SAFE stretch of pavement and steady the vehicle speed at 100 KPH.
- Once you see the traffic light graphic that indicates you have held a steady speed for the required time, mash the brake pedal and modulate to avoid locking the brakes.
- When the vehicle comes to a complete stop, the test is saved for review at a safe place/time.

Real-Time Data Display
Customizable Parameters

Every Gauge is customizable as to which parameter to show on which gauge/graph line ...
With a simple double "tap" on the gauge/display you want, you can assign any vehicle parameter to any gauge in a few seconds!
- Each gauge can be asssigned any parameter for your connected vehicle
- Every parameter includes a detailed explanation of what the parameter is and how it is interpreted
- The gauge will automatically scale and display your choice
- The PREVIEW display in the "Parameter Picker" gives you a representative preview of what the gauge will look like BEFORE you commit
- Each and every gauge can display the parameter in any units that are available for that parameter. You can mix and match units on various gauges to make sense for what YOU are doing! You can even display the same parameter on multiple gauges in multiple units!

Customizable ALERTS
When operating a vehicle we all know how important it is to have your primary focus on OPERATING the vehicle! Not fiddling with buttons and screens ...
With that in mind, we have carefully factored in things like the "finger swipe" and "tap" gestures into the DasbBoss design. The ALERTS feature continues this careful thought process.
- Every parameter can be monitored automatically by DashBoss™ FOR YOU and alert you if it becomes out of your defined "comfort zone".
- Set upper and lower bounds for proper parameter operation (such as coolant temperatures, transmission temperatures, voltage limits, etc.)
- Each Alert can have up to THREE distinct warning levels (yellow, orange, and red) to all you to be alerted LONG before a problem develops!
- Easy to use GREATER THAN, LESS THAN, EQUAL TO logic makes setting up ALERTs a breeze without compromising the powerful flexibility of the feature.
- ALERTS will light the "ALERT LIGHT" AND will flash the gauge background color for the monitored parameter that triggered the ALERT.

Weather Corrected Results
Real Time WEATHER based on Location

Using REALTIME weather conditions to compare your data as "Apples to Apples" ...
You've seen it before and know how hard it is to compare runs with other people, other days, and other tracks. It can be frustrating because the person at sea level in 50 degree weather is obviously going to have better numbers than the person at 4000 ft on an 80 degree day. Now DashBoss™ takes that variable out of the discussion with our patent pending AccuPerformance system! Your run is corrected based on current location and weather conditions**! This correct data AND the day's weather conditions are stored with the data file for later analysis as well!

TWO Analog/Digital Auxillary Inputs
Use External Sensors to Enhance Your Data Capture

Sometimes a LOT isn't ENOUGH! Tie in external sensors (such as Wide Band O2 controllers) for even MORE of a good thing ...
With TWO Analog 0 to 5 volt inputs BUILT IN you can easily interface with almost all of the popular add-on wide band controllers and other 0-5v style sensors!
In most cases it's a simple matter of attaching one (sometimes two) wires to the DashBoss™, setting the response curve as specified by the sensor manufacturer, and then the data is integrated with all other vehicle parameters!
