Download the ZIP file (the above link) and extract it in a folder that is easy to find. You should end up with a file "Encrypted.dhx". To update your gateway, perform the following:
- Plug your Gateway into an available USB port and verify the RED LED next to the USB plug lights up. You will also see a solid YELLOW LED and a blink YELLOW LED which indicates the gateway is mounted on the USB connection.
- Verify the Gateway shows up as a removable drive and that the file "DELETEME.dhx" is on it
- Simply drag and drop the firmware image (Encrypted.dhx) file ON TOP OF THE DashBoss™ UPGRADER ICON.
- Wait for it to complete and then EJECT the DashBoss™ volume.
- Now unplug the Gateway from the USB cable.

- Verify the Gateway shows up as a removable drive and that the file "DELETEME.dhx" is on it
- DELETE the file "DELETEME.dhx"
- Simply drag and drop the firmware image ("Encrypted.dhx") file ON TOP OF THE DashBoss™ removable drive icon.
- Wait for it to complete the copy
- EJECT the Gateway removable drive to be sure everything "flushes" to the gateway correctly.
NOTE: We've seen a couple of instances of Windows "hanging on" to the drive for quite a while after you copy the file and giving an error that it can't eject because it's "still in use". We've found that canceling the EJECT and just waiting (at times more than 2-5 minutes) and repeating the EJECT will clear it. We think it's a matter of Windows 7 buffering the file and it needs to time out to flush it to the device. Sometimes you can ignore the error and just unplug the device, but if you find that the module is then not updated (shows the old firmware version in CONFIG on the app, you need to repeat the procedure and wait until it EJECTS properly).
- Now Unplug the Gateway
